Lorraine Tallman

President

Lorraine is the driving force behind Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels. Her experience in the pediatric cancer world sparked her lifelong devotion to advocacy and support for children and their families. She is committed to fulfilling her daughter, Amanda’s, wish to provide dignity and comfort to all children battling life-threatening diseases. Lorraine shares her inspirational story at ONS conferences and corporate team building events. She serves on the Family Advisory Council and Memorial Service Grievance Committee at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Lorraine teaches ‘Family Centered Care’ classes to new healthcare professionals. She is a speaker for Mother’s Grace, MASK magazine, the Child Life Specialist Association, and many other organizations. Lorraine was awarded the Phoenix Business Journal’s Healthcare Heroes Innovator Award in 2018, Edgar H Hernandez Humanitarian Award in 2019, was an Athena Award Nominee in 2020 and 2022, Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels was a finalist for the 2022 Greater Phoenix Chamber’s Impact Awards, Lorraine was honored to be named a 2022/2023 Trendsetter, and she was named an Outstanding Woman in Business by the Phoenix Business Journal in 2023. Lorraine also shared Amanda’s experience with Bard, now BD, to inspire the medical device Amanda™ Port Stabilizer.

Andrea Acuna

Chairman of the Board

Andrea is an Associate Director of Marketing at Becton Dickson and Company (formerly C.R. Bard).  During her tenure at BD/Bard, Andrea has been involved with leading the marketing efforts for long-term vascular access products, including implantable ports, chronic catheters and most recently, products that help patients with End Stage Kidney Disease. Prior to BD, Andrea held several marketing roles at Boston Scientific Cardiac Rhythm Management Division.  She has a B.S. in Optical Engineering from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

Kiesha McFadden

Vice Chairman of the Board

Arizona Native, Kiesha McFadden “The Mortgage Chick”  passion in life has always been to help others. As a mortgage professional since 2003, She’s found her home at Tolis Mortgage Financial Group, LLC. Kiesha has been a been a member of the Arizona Association of Mortgage Professionals since 2014, and worked her way up to Central Chapter President in 2017. Through those years Kiesha earned National Association of Mortgage Broker’s right to bear the Lending Integrity Seal of Approval. This seal could not be bought; It had to be earned, she pledged to uphold high standards for ethics, integrity, professionalism and knowledge in the mortgage industry, for you the client. In 2017 Kiesha ran for Woman of the Year and raised nearly $40k and was awarded “The Community Involvement Award”. In 2018 she joined Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club. By 2019 she was the “Top Fundraiser” an elected VP of Charities for the 2019-2020. Today Kiesha spends her time being mother, closing loans, volunteering, cooking, writing her mortgage column for Frontdoors Magazine and eating cheeseburgers. Yes, cheeseburgers are her life.

Christine Ferrell

Board Secretary

Christine Ferrell has been with Enterprise Bank & Trust for 16 years. Prior to joining the Arizona team in 2017, she was the Private Banking Specialist for the Bank’s Kansas City Region. Christine has 20 years of combined banking and mortgage lending experience. She attended the University of Kansas and Baker University where her major was Business Administration. She enjoys forming long term, meaningful relationships with her clients as well as helping to guide them to a lifetime of financial success. Christine is a seasoned Private Banker and is responsible for developing client relationships in the Phoenix area. Christine provides high touch, high level banking services, primarily assisting the personal financial needs of business owners, executives and their families. Throughout her time at Enterprise Bank & Trust, Christine has been involved in Kids TLC Kansas City, Ronald McDonald House KC and a former member of the YWCA Arizona Professional Advisory Council. Christine serves as a Finance Committee member with Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels as well as a current YMCA Board Member. Christine was honored in 2021 as one of the 50 most Influential Women in Arizona by AZ Big Media magazine. When Christine is not working, she enjoys being in the outdoors, caring for her two golden retrievers and traveling with her husband.

Chris Anderson

Board Treasurer

As Chief Financial Officer, Chris Anderson directs the Company’s investment, operational, personnel, and philanthropic endeavors for the TW Lewis Companies. Chris brings over 22 years of experience in acquisition, development, management, and disposition of residential and commercial real estate, as well as experience in finance, operations, accounting/taxation and risk management. Prior to joining T.W. Lewis, Mr. Anderson worked as a Management Consultant for Quantus Capital Advisors, where he held the position of CFO for several emerging companies backed by venture capital & private equity. Chris has held CFO positions with other Phoenix area real estate developers and investors. Mr. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, as well as an MBA, with an emphasis in Finance from Arizona State University.

Jerry Lucas, MD

Doctor Lucas is a Radiation Oncologist with Arizona Oncology, the largest provider of oncology services in the state of Arizona.  Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. Lucas attended Hanover College in his home state, and earned his M.D. degree at The Indiana University School of Medicine.  He moved to Los Angeles in 1987 to complete his residency training at the University of Southern California.  Dr. Lucas joined the Swedish Hospital Tumor Institute in Seattle after residency, and moved to Phoenix in 1992 to provide Radiation Oncology services at Good Samaritan Hospital, now known as Banner University Medical Center.  He served as the medical director of Radiation Oncology at Banner prior to his departure to join Arizona Oncology in 2008. From 1992 through 2008 Dr. Lucas provided radiation oncology treatment for patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. After joining Arizona Oncology, Dr. Lucas served as the President of the Phoenix division for six years, helping to grow the practice in the Phoenix market.  Dr. Lucas maintains an active role in Arizona Oncology’s practice management as well as full time patient care and is excited to help AHRA grow and continue on a successful course.

Libby Banks

Libby represents clients in the areas of Estate Planning, preparing Wills and Trusts, asset protection planning, charitable giving and Probate and Trust Administration. After 38 years in the legal field, noted attorney Libby Banks is now advising clients in their planning, her goal is always the same: to make the process of estate planning as smooth and painless as possible, to achieve the end result desired, and to leave clients with peace of mind. Libby Banks’ passion for estate planning began during her early years as a litigation attorney. Libby also has a passion for providing education about estate planning. Clients often compliment her on making complex legal concepts understandable. She appreciates every opportunity to speak and educate the community about the importance of estate planning.

Analise Zaremba

As the Vice President of Personal Insurance for the Brown & Brown Private Client Group Analise serves as a personal risk advisor consulting with our highly successful clientele and their advisory teams. She has earned her Certified Private Risk Insurance Advisor designation and with over a decade of insurance experience uniquely qualifies her to provide guidance to highly successful individuals, multi-generational families and family offices, working together with their teams of advisors to better identify, assess, mitigate and transfer risk. Licensed in all states, with international capabilities she provides the personalized and customized service that gives her clients confidence and peace of mind. Analise attended The University of New Mexico for her Undergraduate degree, and later earned her MBA with an emphasis in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Analise is a third generation Arizona Native, and she prides herself on giving back to her community and focuses on the Empowerment of Women, Education, and the Arts. She currently serves on the Executive Board of Xico Art, a member of the 5 Arts Circle, Contemporary Forum and AZ Costume Institute Contemporary with the Phoenix Art Museum. Pooneh Mussman

Pooneh Mussman is a Physician Assistant and most importantly a blessed mother to two beautiful children, one is a pediatric cancer survivor. In addition to her medical career and personal journey with cancer; she spent 5 years as the Regency Specialties internal Project Manager providing her leadership and aesthetic vision and from the company’s inception to direct the development of 4 medical offices which encompassed over 30,000 sq ft of medical space including but not limited to multiple labs and a surgery center. She also led the development of the Auviana Medical Complex as a tribute to her daughter’s journey. Pooneh is originally from Southern California where she attended the University of California for undergrad. She then went on to Western University where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. AHRA’s values allow Pooneh the opportunity to serve a purpose that is very dear to her heart.

Amanda Grote

Amanda recently moved into the Valley from Chicago. She works as a Business Development Executive at Benefit Commerce Group. With over 8 years’ experience in employee benefits, she helps employers strategically achieve better benefits for less money. Amanda earned her B.A. from Miami University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, their two cats, living close to her parents (15 min away) and learning to play Arizona sports – tennis, golf, and pickleball.

Jenna Biancavilla

Jenna Biancavilla is not your father’s financial planner. She is an award-winning entrepreneur, wealth advisor, and captivating public speaker whose life mission is to positively impact others. She is the Founder/CEO of Pearl Capital Management, a holistic, fee-only, fiduciary, financial planning firm. Advising on $150 Million of assets, Jenna declares they are relentlessly on a mission to professionally support, educate, and uncompromisingly help every client align their use of capital with their personal goals and philanthropic values. Jenna leads the Arcadia Team of Geneva Financial, a home loan company "Powered By Humans®", and her newest venture, Svvy, proclaims they exist to systemically change the financial services industry by creating a platform to weed out the predatory salespeople. Jenna graduated from The University of Arizona with a degree in Economics and has been working in the financial services industry since 2009. Her areas of expertise include creating custom investment portfolios, solving complex wealth management hurdles, tax planning, real-estate investing and analysis, and business planning. Robby Prochnow

Robby Prochnow is a seasoned strategic advisor and business leader with a proven track record of driving transformation, growth, and thought leadership for global technology companies. Robby’s career showcases his ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive operational efficiencies, and achieve significant outcomes by creating customer-centric and employee-focused approaches to business. His experience spans roles across Avnet, TD SYNNEX, GoDaddy, and Insight, where he has consistently achieved outstanding results, through executing innovative Go-To-Market strategies. Robby holds an MBA from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Legal Studies from Arizona State University. He is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, having championed DEI initiatives throughout his career. As a recent two-time Hodgkins Lymphoma survivor, Robby’s resilience and passion for excellence are evident in his professional achievements and contributions to the community through various philanthropic organizations.

Rachael Gavin

Rachael is Amanda Hope’s sister. Her journey and experience as the sibling of a cancer warrior caused her to want to help other children in the same situation. She has been actively involved with the Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels organization since 2012, delivering Comfycozy shirts to hospitals, assisting at multiple fundraising events, and serving as a Camp Counselor at the annual summer sports camp. She will graduate in May 2019 from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and plans to use her education to become a licensed counselor to better serve the children and families battling cancer. Currently she is a Player Relations Representative, at the Flagstaff Ranch and Golf Club in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Kathleen Dowler

Kathleen is the Director of Community Integration for Dignity East Valley Arizona, Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers. She believes that building a bridge from hospital to community is an important part of healthcare delivery. To that end, she is developing community partnerships for the evaluation and implementation of new service delivery models, and facilitating collaborations between local and state governments, community-based organizations and healthcare to create a collective impact for improving health. Kathleen started her career as an RN in the Oncology unit at Midland Memorial Hospital, earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and ultimately a Master’s of Health Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2013.

Sharon Hensley

Sharon is a Senior Attorney with CopperPoint Mutual Insurance Companies representing insured employers in workers’ compensation litigation since 1989. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois and a juris doctorate from ASU College of Law. As a 10+ year breast cancer survivor with a history of volunteer work helping children, Sharon brings a depth of personal understanding to the work we do and the people we serve.

Garth Price, CPA

Former Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee

Garth is the CFO of Sunstate Equipment Co. Previously, he was the Manager of the Audit Department for banks, developers, construction and manufacturing firms at Deloitte & Touche. Throughout his life, Garth has been active in his community serving on the Executive Council of the Boys and Girls Clubs, the Audit Committee of a community bank, and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team of the Arizona American Heart Association. Garth and his wife Lori are owners of Flip Dunk Sports, LLC, a trampoline and gymnastics center. Garth earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Northern Arizona University.

Marty Tallman, Co-Founder

Marty was the “The Original Comfycozy”. “Too early in our life together, our sole focus became the healing of Amanda and assuring her comfort and dignity throughout the battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  We founded Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels to fulfill Amanda’s Dream, to give every child a comfortable shirt that allowed them to receive Chemo treatments without undressing.” Marty earned a BA Degree in accounting with a minor in Leadership from the University of San Diego. He has started and operated import/export companies, as well as real estate and mortgage brokerage companies.

Susan Reina

Susan is a Physician Assistant at Nextcare Urgent Care. Working in research for the National Institutes of Health fostered Her dedication to the healthcare industry. As committee chair, Susan will lead the development and implementation of our “Person Centered Care” curriculum designed for the sector of the Healthcare Industry that specializes in pediatric cancer.  Susan earned her BS degree from Northern Arizona University and MS from AT Still University. 

Pedro Quiroga, MD

Hispanic Advisory Council

Pedro is the Division Chair of Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, brings personal experience to our Board in healthcare, as a doctor, in pediatric cancer, as a parent and in nonprofits, as a board member. He serves on the Board of Directors for Anilu’s Partners, a nonprofit founded by his wife and daughter to help children undergoing chemotherapy treatments. His daughter, Anilu, is currently fighting leukemia at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Originally from La Paz, Bolivia, he grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Maricopa Medical Center and his specialty training in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine at Texas A&M, Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas.

JEFF LEMASTER

Jeff is the Chief Commercial Officer of Corindus Vascular Robotics, with over 20 years of commercial sales and marketing experience in the cardiovascular medical device industry.  Most recently, Jeff served as Global Vice President of Marketing at C.R. Bard, Inc., where he was responsible for all commercial marketing activities for the company’s $1.1B global peripheral vascular division.   Jeff is the proud father of 3 children and is a graduate of the University of Michigan and an enthusiastic and at times obnoxious fan of their football team.

 

Kiel McCarville

Kiel brought real world experience as a cancer survivor to our Board.  Diagnosed with a form of brain cancer called medulloblastoma in high school, Kiel overcame with the help of the staff at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.  He subsequently received his degree in Economics and Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.  After graduating Kiel served as a volunteer with the Jesuit Volunteer Corp working at an elementary school in Spokane, WA.  Today he volunteers locally at Circle the City an organization that provides healthcare to the homeless.  Kiel currently works as a Commercial Banking Financial Analyst.

Kathryn Marchwick

Former Board Secretary

Kathryn is a Certified Financial Planner and Investment Advisory Representative in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area. She is currently affiliated with Williams Financial Broker Dealer as an Independent Representative and Financial Planner. Kathryn serves as a member of the Financial Planning Council at Blessed Sacrament Church in Scottsdale, Arizona.  She earned an Associates Degree from the Kenosha Memorial Hospital School of Histotechnology at the University of Wisconsin Parkside.

Kyle A. Bohannon

Kyle is the President and CEO of American Vision Partners. He began his career in the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley, where he focused on both mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Kyle spent multiple years in the private equity industry with HarbourVest Partners, LLC in both the United States and Europe. Kyle was President and CEO of FastMed Urgent Care, leading company growth from nine to 110 clinics and treating more than one million patients annually in just 6 years.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Amherst College where he was a four-year member of the men’s lacrosse team. Kyle currently serves on the Board of Directors for Great Hearts Academy and plays an active role in the Special Olympics organization.

Frank DeBlasi

Frank is Senior Vice President, Private Wealth Advisor for U.S. Bank. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, he was Senior Vice President and Private Banker for J.P. Morgan Private Bank and Regional Vice President with Morgan Stanley in the New York City market. Frank is a current board member of the Arizona Coyotes Foundation, and a coordinator and manager in the North Scottsdale Little League baseball program. Frank, a cancer survivor, founded BallsFest, a nonprofit organization, to give back to children battling cancer. Frank earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Wagner College, Staten Island, New York.

Brian Schade

Brian is the Chief of Operations and Strategic Development for Arizona Oncology. With over 20 years of healthcare experience, Brian brings a strategic vision in developing and executing effective business strategies to remain the leader in cancer and patient care throughout Arizona. Through a unique blend of tactics, management ability and technical skills, Brian’s distinctive leadership style has played an important role in growing one of the state’s largest community oncology groups as well as developing strong leadership in the community.

Brian started his career right out of high school in the military as a medic/pharmacy technician.  After the military, Brian attended Kansas State University and earned a Master’s degree with honors from Texas State University in Healthcare Administration. Brian has a strong compassion for patient advocacy,  who also serves on the Advisory Council Board for International Cancer Advocacy Network (ICAN) since 2008.

Alex Londen

Alex is Senior Vice President of Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Company. During his seven-year tenure at the company he has held various positions in the marketing and service departments. Alex has been involved with the development and growth of the company’s proprietary lead system, directing the improvement of efficiency and quality standards of several customer service platforms and as manager of a network of independent agencies.

Tania Cortas, MD

Dr. Cortas is one of founding members of Cancer and Blood Specialists of Arizona. She is from a Lebanese decent and finished medical school at American University of Beirut. Subsequently in 2001 she came to Case Western University in 2001 for residency and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. She has multiple administrative positions with her busy clinical practice. She is a certified physician executive and member of American Society of Clinical Oncology , American Society of Hematology and American Association of Physician Leadership. Dr Cortas is a believer in helping the community and giving back. ‘Cancer patients are under a lot of life stressors, I am honored to be part of Amanda Hope to help make a small difference in the life of children with the most devastating disease and their families”. Also she wants her kids to learn to help others and get involved at a young age.
